The meeting brought together François Corbin, vice president of MEDEF International, and representatives from six major French companies, as Cambodia seeks to attract greater foreign capital amid ongoing economic development.

Discussions in the French capital focused on Cambodia’s evolving economic environment, recent regulatory reforms, and opportunities for foreign investors across multiple sectors.

Members of the French business delegation expressed interest in expanding their operations in Cambodia and requested updates on the country’s commercial laws and regulatory framework. Executives also cited Cambodia’s economic progress in recent years as a key factor driving their interest.

Cham Nimul said the Cambodian government is committed to improving the business climate and supporting investment-led growth.

“The Royal Government of Cambodia is focused on cross-sector development, and the Ministry of Commerce continues to streamline procedures to make it easier to do business,” she said.

She added that the ministry stands ready to facilitate trade and assist international investors seeking to participate in Cambodia’s economic expansion.
