Cambodia's Tourism Minister Calls on London Embassy to Spearhead UK Promotion Push

Minister of Tourism, H.E. Hout Hak, has tasked Cambodia’s embassy in London with spearheading a renewed, intensive promotional campaign to showcase the nation’s diverse tourism and investment opportunities across the United Kingdom.

The request was made during the Minister’s current visit to London, where he is leading a Cambodian delegation participating in the World Travel Market (WTM), a premier global event for the travel industry.

Strategic Vision for the UK Market

In a meeting with H.E. Mrs. Tuot Panha, Cambodia’s Ambassador to the UK, Minister Hout Hak outlined a clear strategic vision:

  • Intensify Outreach: The Minister urged embassy officials to step up their outreach to the British public and other nations under the embassy’s jurisdiction.
  • Showcase Unique Assets: He emphasized the need to promote Cambodia’s diverse tourism potential and attractive investment landscape, focusing heavily on the country’s unique cultural assets and the renowned hospitality and warmth of the Cambodian people.
  • Correct Misinformation: Minister Hout Hak also stressed the critical importance of launching a proactive communications strategy to effectively address and correct any misinformation that could potentially damage the positive international perception of Cambodia’s tourism sector.

The Minister concluded the meeting by conveying greetings and well-wishes from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to the Ambassador and her staff.
