Cambodia Exports Hit $24.94 Billion in 2025, Driven by US Demand

PHNOM PENH โ€“ Cambodiaโ€™s exports reached approximately US$24.94 billion in the first ten months of 2025, marking a robust 15.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This strong performance was detailed in an official report released on Monday by the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE).

The United States remained the largest and fastest-growing market for Cambodian products, importing a total of US$10.42 billionโ€”a significant jump of 26.4 percent year-on-year. Other major export destinations included Vietnam (US$3.14 billion), China (US$1.33 billion), Japan (US$1.3 billion), and Canada (US$1.06 billion).

According to the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodiaโ€™s main export products drive this growth, including garments, machinery, electrical equipment, footwear, leather goods, grains, furniture, rubber, fruits, vegetables, and textiles.

Penn Sovicheat, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the Ministry

H.E. Penn Sovicheat, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the Ministry, attributed the export surge to rising international demand for Cambodian-made products. He stated: “The increase in exports reflects the strong demand for Cambodian products in foreign markets, particularly in the United States, the European Union, and RCEP member countries.”

Meanwhile, Cambodiaโ€™s imports also rose, totaling US$27.63 billion during the same periodโ€”an increase of 17.7 percent. China served as the Kingdomโ€™s largest source of imports (US$14.61 billion), followed by Vietnam (US$3.44 billion) and Thailand (US$2.57 billion). Major imports included medicines, consumables, and food and beverages.
