Cambodia Showcases Tourism Potential & Angkor Wat at UN Tourism

H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism, recently traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the 26th UN Tourism General Assembly. During the event (held from November 7 to 11), he spoke about all the great things Cambodia has to offer tourists.

Why Visit Cambodia?

According to a report from the Ministry of Tourism, Minister Huot Hak emphasized that Cambodia is a safe and welcoming country for visitors. He highlighted the country’s:

  • Peace and Stability: He noted Cambodia’s current state of peace, steady political situation, economic growth, and good public order, all of which ensure a safe environment. This aligns perfectly with Cambodia’s tourism motto, “Tourism Grows in Peace.”
  • Rich Culture and Nature: The Minister showcased Cambodia’s incredible sights, including the world-famous Angkor Wat, ancient traditions, beautiful scenery that lasts all year, and the famously warm and welcoming nature of the Cambodian peopleโ€”known globally for the “Cambodian smile.”

Invitation to a Major Event

Minister Huot Hak also invited all the delegates from the General Assembly to come visit Cambodia soon. He specifically mentioned that Cambodia will host the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026 in Siem Reap province. He encouraged everyone to experience Cambodia’s unique culture and charm for themselves.
