First National Civil Aviation Day: PM Hun Manet Highlights Sector’s Critical Role in Sustainable Growth

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, warmly congratulated the celebration of the First National Civil Aviation Day, held in conjunction with International Civil Aviation Day on December 7th.

The celebration was held under the crucial theme: “Civil Aviation Plays a Key Role in Promoting Sustainable Economic, Tourism, Social, and Cultural Development in the Kingdom of Cambodia.”

The theme’s objective is to broaden public awareness across the countryโ€”among citizens, government bodies, legislative and judicial institutions, and all related stakeholdersโ€”regarding the profound significance of the Civil Aviation sector.

Prime Minister Hun Manet underscored that the Civil Aviation sector provides several indispensable benefits:

The sector contributes significantly to maintaining and enhancing the safety and security of citizens traveling by air, fostering high confidence in international connectivity.

2. Economic Growth and Key Tourism Driver

Civil Aviation serves as one of the key sectors for the national economy through:
