Hun Manet Congratulates China on PRC Anniversary, Reaffirms ‘Ironclad Friendship’

PHNOM PENH — Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has extended warm congratulations to Chinese Premier H.E. Li Qiang and the people of China on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

In his congratulatory message dated September 29, the Cambodian leader praised China’s remarkable socio-economic achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

Prime Minister Hun Manet took the opportunity to reaffirm Cambodia’s “ironclad friendship” with China, pledging to further strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He emphasized Cambodia’s commitment to advancing cooperation under the Diamond Cooperation framework and building an “All-weather Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future in the New Era.”

He stated that this deep collaboration will not only bring lasting prosperity to the peoples of both nations but also contribute significantly to peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and beyond.

Samdech Thipadei commended China’s success in reaching its first centenary goal in 2021 and expressed confidence that China is on track to achieve its second centenary goal by 2049. He also emphasized China’s growing role regionally and globally, noting its flagship initiatives that promote connectivity and inclusive development.
