Hun Sen Congratulates South Korea on National Foundation Day, Praises Strategic Partnership

PHNOM PENH — Acting Head of State Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of Cambodia has extended his warmest congratulations to H.E. Woo Won-shik, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (ROK), on the occasion of the ROK’s National Foundation Day.

In his message dated October 3, Samdech Techo Hun Sen praised the progress and development of the Republic of Korea across all areas, noting its significant contribution to promoting regional and global stability and peace. He highlighted the ROK’s role as a global leader in science, digital, technology, and innovation.

The Acting Head of State expressed delight that the relationship between Cambodia and South Korea has grown steadily since the re-establishment of diplomatic relations in 1997, culminating in the elevation of ties to a Strategic Partnership. This milestone, he stated, reflects a shared vision for peace and prosperity.

“I am confident that under your leadership, our parliamentary cooperation will continue to deepen, bringing mutual benefits to our peoples and nations and contributing to regional peace and stability,” he wrote, concluding with best wishes for Speaker Woo Won-shik and the continued prosperity of the Republic of Korea.
