Cambodia Pushes Logistics Modernisation to Strengthen Trade Competitiveness

Phnom Penh: Cambodia is accelerating the modernisation of its national logistics system, aiming to improve supply chain efficiency and attract greater foreign investment, as emphasized during the 11th National Logistics Council (NLC) Meeting chaired by H.E. Sun Chanthol on July 8, 2026.

Key Strategic Objectives:

  • Enhanced Connectivity: The meeting focused on continuously upgrading transport infrastructure to ensure seamless integration into global and regional supply chains.
  • Public-Private Synergy: With participation from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, CCC, and CLA, the council aims to foster strong institutional accountability and effective public-private partnerships.
  • Economic Foundation: H.E. Sun Chanthol reaffirmed that logistics is a “vital economic artery.” Continuous improvement in this sector is essential to boost international trade and achieve the Royal Government’s vision of becoming a high-income nation by 2050.
