Royal Audience Focuses on France-Cambodia Ties and Francophonie Summit

On October 28, Her Majesty the Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk granted a royal audience to the new French Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Olivier Richard, at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

According to the French Embassy, Ambassador Richard conveyed his profound gratitude to the Queen Mother for her ongoing support of the French language in Cambodia. This appreciation comes as the Kingdom prepares to host the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026.

Discussions between the Queen Mother and the Ambassador also underscored the exceptional and enduring ties between France and Cambodia.
