The General Commissariat of the Cambodian National Police and the Korean National Police Agency have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Cambodia-Korea Joint Task Force for Korean Nationals.
The signing ceremony took place on November 10 at the Ministry of Interior, witnessed by H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Cambodia, and H.E. Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
Enhancing Law Enforcement and Security
Both countries highly praised the excellent law enforcement cooperation and bilateral relations. They specifically highlighted the importance of information sharing and mutual assistance to effectively combat crimes occurring in both countries and internationally, including the prevention and suppression of cyber fraud.
H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha expressed sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Korea for its ongoing support and collaboration. This continued help is vital for maintaining security, public order, and social safety in Cambodia.
For his part, H.E. Cho Hyun expressed confidence that the partnership would continue to grow. He hopes this collaboration will create more favorable conditions for effective law enforcement efforts.
Both sides strongly reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefit of the peoples of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea.
