Phnom Penh: Cambodian authorities reported that Thai armed forces continued to violate Cambodian sovereignty on the morning of October 13 by clearing land in Prey Chan village, O’ Beichoan commune, O’ Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province.
The latest clearing operation occurred at a site situated to the left of the previous location where Thai forces had recently engaged in similar activities within the same village.

The report highlights a series of violations committed by Thailand in recent days, including:
- Clearing farmlands long relied upon by residents of Prey Chan village.
- Engaging in psychological intimidation against villagers in Prey Chan and Chork Chey. This involved playing disturbing sounds such as ghost-like noises, barking dogs, wind, and airplane sounds.

Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the border dispute peacefully through the utmost restraint and strict adherence to the ceasefire. However, the statement also stressed that Cambodia reserves its right to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity along the border.
