Cambodia-Thailand Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) Kicks Off Two-Day Talks in Chanthaburi

CHANTHABURI, Thailand – The plenary meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) officially commenced today, October 21, 2025, in Thailand’s Chanthaburi Province. The session began at 12:12 p.m. with representatives from both nations exchanging handshakes to formally launch the two-day discussions, scheduled to conclude on October 22, 2025.

The Cambodian delegation is headed by His Excellency Lam Chea, Minister in charge of the Secretariat of State for Border Affairs and Chairman of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Border Commission. He is joined by inter-ministerial and provincial officials from Cambodian provinces bordering Thailand.

Leading the Thai delegation is His Excellency Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Thailand-Cambodia Joint Boundary Commission, accompanied by other pertinent officials.

The meeting serves as a crucial platform for both countries to address and advance their ongoing border demarcation and management efforts.
