Cambodian Red Cross Aids Assaulted Migrant Worker

Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), immediately sent a team to provide help and emotional support to a young female migrant worker. She was recently assaulted while trying to return to Cambodia.

The Incident and Rescue

The traumatic incident happened near a border crossing in the Kamrieng district of Battambang province as the young woman was traveling home. She was successfully rescued and is currently receiving urgent medical care at Calmette Hospital.

Visit and Assistance

On November 20th, H.E. Ms. Pum Chantinie, Secretary General of the CRC, led the delegation to visit the victim on behalf of the CRC President. The team delivered:

  • Essential supplies.
  • Financial aid.
  • Crucially, deep moral and emotional support.

H.E. Ms. Pum Chantinie shared the heartfelt sympathies and strong encouragement of Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, urging the young woman to stay strong and focus entirely on her recovery.
