Dubai-Based Aviation Giant HADID Eyes Flight Expansion and Tourism Promotion in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH — Hadid International Services (HADID), a premier Dubai-based global aviation support services company, has expressed a keen interest in promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and exploring the expansion of its high-end aviation services and flight connectivity to the Kingdom.

The commitment was finalized during a courtesy call and bilateral meeting on Monday, June 29, 2026, between Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and Ms. Aida Ismail, Regional Director and Representative of HADID, along with a senior executive delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the session, Ms. Ismail briefed the Minister on HADID’s distinguished 40-year history of operations spanning Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. She underscored the company’s strategic intent to leverage its expansive international partner network, global promotional events, and elite media platforms to showcase Cambodia’s rich cultural and historical assets worldwide.

In addition, HADID presented plans to deploy premium aviation operations within Cambodia, including private Jet Charter services and Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) capabilities. The delegation also proposed an editorial initiative to publish comprehensive travel books detailing Cambodian history, culture, and destinations, translated into 30 to 50 foreign languages for global distribution.

In response, H.E. Huot Hak highly commended HADID’s initiatives, noting their significant alignment with the government’s goals to bolster air connectivity between the Middle East and Cambodia’s key urban and historical hubs, namely Phnom Penh and the temple-rich city of Siem Reap.

To operationalize this partnership effectively, the Tourism Minister urged HADID to prioritize several critical strategic actions:

  • Organize Familiarization (FAM) Trips: Facilitate immediate travel itineraries for prominent travel agencies and high-net-worth investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the wider Middle East to explore investment opportunities and experiential tourism in Cambodia.
  • Direct Flight Feasibility Studies: Conduct thorough assessments on introducing direct commercial flights or expanding elite private aviation operations directly to Siem Reap to cater to ultra-high-end corporate and VIP tourism.
  • Digital Branding & “Green Season” Campaigns: Streamline Cambodia’s tourism media across HADID’s physical showrooms, social channels, and in-flight entertainment platforms, specifically echoing the national “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign.
  • Muslim-Friendly Destination Strategy: Maximize global communication channels to highlight Cambodia as an inclusive, safe, and highly accommodating destination tailored to Muslim travelers.

According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia welcomed approximately 1.5 million international tourists during the first five months of 2026. While arrivals from the Middle East stood at a modest 1,200 visitors, Cambodian authorities identify the region as a high-spending, emerging market with exponential growth potential.

The breakthrough discussions notably coincide with the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic ties between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates, laying a robust foundation for deeper bilateral civil aviation and economic integration.
