PM Announces Free Buses for Pchum Ben Festival

Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet announced today that a fleet of 497 buses will provide free transportation for citizens traveling between Phnom Penh and their hometowns during the upcoming Pchum Ben Festival, from September 20 to 25. The initiative aims to significantly ease travel burdens for citizens.

In a message posted on his social media, the Prime Minister stated that the free service will operate along seven major routes. Further details on these routes will be released by the Phnom Penh Municipal Hall.

Phnom Penh Governor H.E. Khuong Sreng confirmed the administration has prepared a total of 597 buses for the festival. Of these, 100 will be specifically designated for daily travel within Phnom Penh, including routes to and from the new Techo International Airport. This comprehensive plan highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and safe festival period for all citizens.
