MoLVT and JCA Strengthen Partnership to Boost Cambodian Youth Skills and Japan Employment

PHNOM PENH – The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT) and the Japan-Cambodia Association (JCA) have committed to significantly strengthening their partnership. The key goal is to promote skills training and employment opportunities for Cambodian youth.

This commitment was formalized during a meeting between H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of MoLVT, and H.E. Takahashi Fumiaki, President of the JCA, held on November 10 in Phnom Penh.

Minister Heng Sour expressed high appreciation for the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry and the JCA. He specifically acknowledged the successful support for Cambodia’s economic development through internship and employment opportunities in Japan, particularly in the growing fields of caregiving and vehicle maintenance.

The Minister welcomed the Japanese side’s continued effort in providing technical and vocational skills training for Cambodian youth, emphasizing the importance of securing employment in Japan for these trainees.

For his part, JCA President Takahashi Fumiaki spoke positively about the progress of cooperation with the Ministry, highlighting the successful dispatch of Cambodian trainees to Japan through JCA members. He also requested continued support and closer cooperation from the MoLVT to facilitate future Japanese investment projects in Cambodia.
