His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has praised the profound solidarity between Cambodia-China, stating that their “all-weather community with a shared future” reflects deep mutual trust. The remarks were made in a recent exclusive interview with China’s People’s Daily.
The King highlighted that this new chapter of relations opens significant opportunities for cooperation in sustainable development, including green transition, connectivity, and technological innovation. He stressed that greater investment in infrastructure and digital linkages will boost regional integration and economic growth. In the area of technology, the King added that exchanges in education and research will create new opportunities for the younger generations.
His Majesty also commemorated the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. He underscored China’s immense sacrifice as the main Eastern battlefield, calling it pivotal to the Allied victory and the establishment of a post-war order rooted in peace, sovereignty, and mutual respect.
