The Ministry of National Defence Asks Everyone to Immediately Stop Posting Sensitive Information Online
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia โ The Ministry of National Defence (MND) is making an urgent public request to everyoneโcitizens and social media users alikeโto immediately stop sharing certain information online. This step is critical right now to protect the lives of our troops and keep national defense strategies secret.
Because of the current security situation, the Ministry asks you to never post the following types of photos, videos, or messages on any social media like Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube:
What You Must NOT Share:
- Troop Locations: Do not share maps, photos, or details that show where our soldiers are standing or hiding (like trenches, shelters, or command posts).
- Military Movements: Do not show any videos or news about where our soldiers or weapons are moving or being placed.
- Supply Routes: Do not reveal the roads or paths being used to send food, equipment, or supplies to our military forces.
- Operations: Do not post anything that details specific military plans or operations.
Why This Is So Important
Sharing this kind of information, even accidentally, can be very dangerous.
- Protecting Lives: Leaked locations and plans put the lives of our officers and soldiers directly at risk from the invading forces.
- National Security: We must keep critical military strategies secret to defend our country effectively.
The Ministry thanks everyone for their understanding and cooperation, asking for this measure to be followed with a spirit of patriotism and high responsibility.
