Experts Urge English Videos to Leverage New Cambodia Flights

PHNOM PENH: While Cambodia has successfully secured many new flight connections to new destinations, tourism experts are calling upon the government and the private sector to significantly increase the production and dissemination of English-language promotional videos. This move is necessary to maximize the benefits of the influx of international tourists.

Experts argue that the expansion of the air network is a major achievement that opens the doors to visitors, but “high-quality promotional content,” particularly in English, is the crucial marketing tool that determines whether tourists choose Cambodia or divert to competing regional destinations.

According to the same experts’ analysis, new direct flights allow tourists from major markets to travel easily. However, to motivate their decision-making, Cambodia must showcase its attractiveness, convenience, and safety through promotional videos that meet international standards.

The experts emphasized that both the Ministry of Tourism and the private sector (including hotels, airlines, and tour companies) must strengthen their partnership to jointly invest in producing these videos. This is a clear strategy to ensure that every new flight connection secured is translated into a tangible increase in tourist arrivals and national revenue. Effective content production is the key to “unlocking” the international market that has just gained the ability to fly directly to Cambodia.
