Phnom Penh: Cambodia and Thailand have agreed to hold a special meeting of the Joint Land Boundary Committee (JBC) next week in Thailand to accelerate work on border demarcation.
Reliable sources confirmed on October 13 that the Cambodia-Thailand JBC agreed in principle to schedule the Special JBC Meeting for October 21-22, 2025, with Thailand serving as the host.
The forthcoming meeting is specifically aimed at continuing discussions and accelerating the border demarcation and marker planting work between the two neighboring countries. This effort follows a commitment reaffirmed by both sides during the 6th Cambodia-Thailand JBC Meeting, which was hosted by Cambodia on June 14-15, 2025, in Phnom Penh.
