Cambodian Red Cross Launches Urgent Aid Mission to Northeast

Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), has authorized urgent humanitarian assistance to support 1,783 vulnerable families across the northeastern provinces of Ratanakkiri and Mondulkiri.

This swift decision was made following direct requests for support submitted by the local provincial Red Cross branches.

Breakdown of the Relief Operation

The aid distribution targets a significant number of families facing hardship in the region:

  • Ratanakkiri Province: 850 families
  • Mondulkiri Province: 933 families
  • Total Families Supported: 1,783

The three-day relief operation is scheduled to commence on November 10 and conclude on November 12, 2025.

Essential Supplies Included

The distribution effort will be overseen by a delegation from the CRC headquarters, led by H.E. You Lana, Second Deputy Secretary-General. Each recipient family is set to receive a standardized package containing crucial food and necessities, including:

  • 30 kilogrammes of rice
  • One case of instant noodles
  • Other essential supplies

This mission underscores the CRC’s commitment to providing timely support to vulnerable communities across Cambodia.
