PHNOM PENH โ In a swift response to the needs of displaced residents along the Cambodian border, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, has approved a massive donation of food, water, and essential supplies.

The relief operation targets three primary border provincesโOddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, and Preah Vihearโto address emergency needs and support families temporarily relocated due to recent border developments.
Strategic Distribution of Supplies
The CRC has allocated 60 tonnes of rice and thousands of cases of beverages to ensure food security for displaced populations:
- Oddar Meanchey: Received the largest single share with 20 tonnes of rice, 400 cases of bottled water, and 400 cases of soft drinks.
- Banteay Meanchey & Preah Vihear: Each provincial administration received 20 tonnes of rice, 300 cases of water, and 300 cases of soft drinks.
Winter Relief: 12,500 Blankets Dispatched
Recognizing the humanitarian needs beyond food, the CRC approved the distribution of 12,500 blankets across seven provinces to protect displaced families from the elements.

Ongoing Commitment to Disaster Management
This latest contribution follows a series of high-impact humanitarian actions led by Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen. Recently, she contributed US$210,000 to the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) specifically for the purchase of tents to provide temporary shelters.
