(AKP) – December 31, 2025 – After 155 days of separation from their homeland and loved ones, 18 Cambodian soldiers have finally returned to the warm embrace of their families on the afternoon of December 31, 2025.
The emotional reunion serves as a powerful conclusion to the year, bringing peace of mind to the families who have waited nearly half a year for this moment.
A Relentless Pursuit of Justice
Since the initial detention of these brave individuals, the Royal Government of Cambodia has worked tirelessly, utilizing all available diplomatic channels and resolution mechanisms to secure their safe and swift release.
The successful return of the soldiers underscores a core principle of the nation’s leadership:
