Firefly Airlines Starts Direct Flights KL to Siem Reap Nov 27

H.E. Sinn Chanserey Vutha, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), announced that Firefly Airlines (FY) will connect Kuala Lumpur (KUL) directly to the Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI), starting from November 27, 2025.

About the Airline and Flight Details

  • Firefly Airlines is a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines. It is based in Penang and Subang, Malaysia, and currently operates passenger flights to Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.
  • The airline will operate three direct round-trip flights per week between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI).
  • Flights will run every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, utilizing a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The flight numbers will be FY3520 (KUL – SAI) and FY3521 (SAI – KUL).

Siem Reap Angkor International Airport Connectivity

H.E. Sinn Chanserey Vutha emphasized that with the arrival of Firefly Airlines, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport will have a total of 13 operating airlines. These include:

  • Two domestic airlines: Air Cambodia (K6) and Air Asia Cambodia (KT).
  • Eleven foreign airlines: Including Singapore Airlines (SQ), Bangkok Airways (PG), Thai Airways (TG), Thai AirAsia (FD), China Eastern Airlines (MU), Vietnam Airlines (VN), VietJet Air (VJ), Lao Airlines (QV), Emirates Airlines (EK), Indigo (6E), and now Firefly Airlines (FY), which will serve the new Kuala Lumpur (KUL) – Siem Reap (SAI) route.

He also expressed his expectation that by the end of 2025, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport will welcome two more new airlines: T’way and Air Busan.
