PHNOM PENH โ At approximately 3:20 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and his spouse, Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, led a high-level delegation of the Royal Government to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The delegation is attending the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, which will take place from October 25 to 28, 2025. The visit is made in response to the invitation from H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and Chair of ASEAN 2025.
Delegation and Agenda
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), the Prime Minister and his spouse are accompanied by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with other Deputy Prime Ministers, Senior Ministers, Ministers, and high-ranking government officials. The delegation also includes business representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Cambodia Oknha Association.
Under the theme โInclusivity and Sustainability,โ the ASEAN Summit and its Related Summits are expected to play a crucial role in advancing the ASEAN Community Vision 2045: Our Shared Future. The meetings will focus on strengthening ASEAN Centrality, deepening cooperation with external partners, and addressing various regional and global challenges toward the common goals of peace, stability, and prosperity.
Bilateral Engagements and Historic Peace Deal
During his stay in Kuala Lumpur, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei is also scheduled to hold several bilateral meetingswith ASEAN and world leaders to further strengthen and deepen bilateral relations on matters of mutual interest and common concern.
In addition to the Summits, Prime Minister Hun Manet will participate in a historic ceremony to sign a Peace Agreement with the leadership of Thailand, under the highly anticipated presence of U.S. President Donald Trump. This Peace Agreement is a vital document intended to secure the ceasefire and pave the way for a lasting peace along the border between Cambodia and Thailand.
